Privacy Policy

Last updated August 2026

S'more Camps helps parents find summer camps. This policy explains what we store, why, and how to get rid of it. We have tried to keep it short and specific rather than comprehensive and vague.

What we collect

You can search for camps without an account. If you create one, we store:

About your children's names. A first name or nickname is all the schedule needs, and that is what we ask for — the name is only a label so you can tell one child's schedule from another's. Please don't enter a full name; there is no benefit to you in doing so. We never ask for a child's age, birthday, school, photo, or any contact details, and there is no way for a child to use or sign in to this site.

We also keep basic technical records — a cookie that remembers how many camps you have viewed, and standard server logs. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not run third-party analytics.

What we never do

Who can see what

Your email, your private notes, and your children's names and schedules are visible only to you when signed in. Ratings and review text you write are public — other parents see the star rating and the review, but never your name or email. Nothing about your children is ever shown publicly.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of outside companies to run the site. Here is what each kind of provider receives:

Other than the hosting provider, which stores the data, none of them receive anything about your children. We do not use advertising networks or analytics companies. If you would like to know exactly who we currently use, just ask — hello@smorecamps.com.

Deleting your data

You can remove a child at any time from Family Schedule, which also removes their schedule.

To delete everything, open My Camps and choose “Delete my account and data.” This permanently removes your email, password, saved camps, ratings, reviews, notes, and every child and schedule you added. It is immediate and cannot be undone.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and your account data is reachable only when signed in. No system is perfectly secure, but we collect as little as the features need, which is the most effective protection there is.

Children

S'more Camps is intended for parents and guardians, not for children. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to create an account. Information about a child appears here only when a parent chooses to add it. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your information is used, we will update the date above and tell account holders.
